Robin Shah

Robin Shah is the General Partner and Chief Investment Officer responsible for the convertible arbitrage, litigation finance and special situations strategies at Tenor. Robin led the relative value

Robin Shah is the General Partner and Chief Investment Officer responsible for the convertible arbitrage, litigation finance and special situations strategies at Tenor. Robin led the relative value and convertible arbitrage effort at Putnam Lovell NBF that spun off in 2004 to form Tenor. Prior to that, Robin was one of two senior traders at J.P. Morgan responsible for portfolio management, security selection, trading, and risk management in the proprietary Convertibles and Relative Value Group. He was previously a member of the Equity Derivatives Research team, Fixed Income Derivatives Trading team and Fixed Income Proprietary Trading group at J.P. Morgan. Robin received an M.A. and B.A. in Economics from Yale University, summa cum laude.

Alex Robinson is a Partner and Head of Research on the convertible arbitrage investment team. Alex was part of the relative value and convertible arbitrage effort at Putnam Lovell NBF that spun off

Alex Robinson is a Partner and Head of Research on the convertible arbitrage investment team. Alex was part of the relative value and convertible arbitrage effort at Putnam Lovell NBF that spun off in 2004 to form Tenor. Prior to that, Alex was a Vice President on the convertible research team at J.P. Morgan and a Vice President at DLJ/CSFB focused on credit-oriented convertible recommendations. Alex began his career in the Equity Research Department of Goldman Sachs. Alex received a B.S. in Mathematics and Economics from Haverford College, with honors.

Prior to joining Tenor in 2008, Luis was a Senior Analyst in the Liability Management Group at Goldman Sachs responsible for advising corporate clients on the strategy and execution of restructuring, repurchasing or modifying outstanding fixed-income securities, as well as structuring around existing debt covenants for M&A, LBOs, potential covenant breaches and capital market transactions. Luis received a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a B.S. in Management Sciences with a minor in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Prior to joining Tenor in 2017, Miguel was Head of US Convertibles Sales and Trading at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi and a Senior Position Trader at Deutsche Bank Securities focusing on convertible bonds and equity warrants. Miguel also has prior experience trading convertible securities at Wells Fargo and Thomas Weisel Partners, and began his career at UBS O’Connor trading listed equity options on the floor of the CBOE and later running the firm’s European, Asian, & Japanese convertible arbitrage effort. Miguel received a B.S in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining Tenor in 2010, Narayan invested in high-yield and convertible bonds at Radcliffe Capital Management, a convertible bond arbitrage hedge fund, and distressed debt and equities at Highland Capital Partners. Narayan was previously a Director at TD Securities, where he advised media and telecommunications companies on raising capital and M&A. Narayan received an MBA from the Sloan School of Management of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology and a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.

Amarish Mehta is senior research analyst on the convertible arbitrage investment team.  Prior to joining Tenor in 2010, Amarish was Director of Research at Arcadia Capital, an activist hedge fund, and Portfolio Manager at Platinum Partners, where he co-managed an event-driven technology portfolio.  Earlier in his career, Amarish was a Business Development Executive in IBM’s Corporate Development Group and held positions with private equity firms Advantage Capital Partners and Rosecliff, and in investment banking at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Amarish received an MBA from the University of Chicago, with high honors, and holds a B.A.S. from the School of Engineering and B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, cum laude.

Prior to joining Tenor in 2016, Pierre was a litigator at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in New York and Paris, acted as legal adviser with the World Bank focusing on policy reforms in developing countries, and as counsel with the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). Pierre received his Master of Laws from both Harvard Law School and Aix-en-Provence University, as well as a Master of International Law and Management from École Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales in Paris.

Dan Kochav is a Partner and the Chief Operating Officer. Dan was a Managing Director at Putnam Lovell NBF where he was responsible for building hedge-fund related businesses, including incubating the team that formed Tenor. He has decades of experience building successful derivatives-based trading and structured finance businesses at TD Securities and prior to that at PaineWebber Inc., including Convertible Arbitrage, Index Arbitrage, Corporate and Structured Equity Derivatives, Private Placements, and Cross-Border Structured Tax Transactions. Dan received a M.Sc. in Management from the Sloan School of Management of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds a B.Comm. in Management from Concordia University.

Aimee clerked for the Honorable Berle M. Schiller, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Aimee received her J.D. from the Yale Law School and holds an A.B. from Princeton University, magna cum laude.
